Anxiety is something most people experience at some point in life. In New Zealand, 1 in 4 people struggle with anxiety, which can impact daily life in many ways.
You might find it difficult to be in certain places or social situations, avoid activities that trigger anxiety, or experience physical symptoms like shakiness and shortness of breath. Constant overthinking, trouble sleeping, difficulty relaxing, and feeling on edge are also common signs.

Through a combination of EMDR therapy and CBT, I help clients develop practical tools to manage anxiety while also addressing its root causes.
Depression can feel isolating and overwhelming. Many people try to hide it—men may express it through anger, while women often feel pressure to appear happy despite inner struggles.

Common signs of depression include persistent self-criticism, difficulty sleeping, low motivation, irritability, exhaustion, and feeling disconnected from others. If these feelings don’t seem to pass, you don’t have to face them alone.

Using EMDR therapy and CBT, I provide a supportive space to process underlying experiences and develop strategies to regain a sense of balance and well-being.

Many people associate PTSD with a single traumatic event—such as an assault, accident, or act of violence. However, PTSD can also develop from ongoing, high-stress situations that feel inescapable.
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) occurs when trauma is prolonged or repeated, deeply shaping a person’s sense of safety and identity, often leading to a constant feeling of being on guard or expecting something bad to happen.

People with PTSD or C-PTSD may experience persistent anxiety, unpredictable mood swings, heightened sensitivity to triggers like loud noises or crowded spaces, chronic fatigue, or deep feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness.

Through EMDR therapy and CBT, I help clients process trauma safely, rebuild a sense of security, and develop tools for emotional resilience.
